The Chevron Manhattan Beach Grand Prix brought out cyclists of all ages and genders Sunday, July 30, and we had fun on the sidelines capturing images of them flying up and down Valley and Ardmore Avenues.
We were testing out the new Sony A9 camera, which captures images at a whopping 20 frames a second, and most of them are usually in lightning speed auto-focus. So when a bunch of men and women barrel around corners, this was a great opportunity to check it out.
This was the 56th annual race, and the news this year was a different course for the racers, starting at Joslyn Center in Live Oak Park, and going round, counter-clockwise, Valley and Ardmore.
